it's movement is the "Autotractor," which is the most robust movement JLC has made so far. It's also, besides the Ludwig Perpetual, one of the only grande date models that can go forwards OR backwards. I was really hoping for JLC to continue "Grande Date"...

thanks for all that info Dean....i really had no idea about the autotractor movement. so to clarify your point, the date can go backwards without damaging the movement? I am thinking of the situation when I travel BACK from India and would move the 'blue'...
