and a more common moonphase disc rotating through and aperture would be my 2 "improvements" if I had my way.
Unfortunately, although the moonphase is "pretty," like this, it's a bit too "Chopard" for me, and draws your eye squarely on that dark circle, which is off center. An aperture would be more discreet, since you'd only see a semi-circle.
When I say, "outsourced" I mean they buy the kit and build it their own way for this piece. The original "Master Perpetual is still my favorite, and I've been yearning to see an enlarged version of it built on the 899 base, so that we'd have the thin bezel (ala MGUT) "40mm Master QP" with movement 899/440/2. The original was so clean and reliable and only 10.1mm thin! Picture it with an ivory dial in rose gold or a silver sunray finished dial in steel (or black dial, for that matter).
Just one JLC lover's opinion.
