I love JLC's minute repeaters, and think the technology employed is awesome. However, more marketing to build the awareness of JLCs progress in this horological realm is necessary - as witnessed in last week's auction. I believe one of the reasons for JLC... 

This lack of ( serious ) communication may be one factor. The other lying in the fact that too many iterations of an original concept may loose its interest, and worst... Its exclusivity? We are talking about a Minute Repeater, something rare, exclusive, ...

Love all versions of this watch, and dream of owning one one day! I like the 'sweeter' case and lugs, and the less modern elements (more classic) of the Master... but I really do love all versions--a supreme timepiece.

apart from the tech aspects, your Ti wins, Nico.

...for me your titanium MMR is more harmonious in the dial layout and overall look. I prefer the monochromatic and tech-y look of your watch (which is funny because this new watch is perhaps more tech-minded). Another nice novelty from JLC though. Cheers,...

They are both watches to dream about. If I was ready and able for a repeater this might be at the top of my list. I've had the pleasure to play with the older version and it is a very special watch, technically and aesthetically. Thanks so much for the gr... 

the modern Minute Repeater. But I have to mirror your comments above, too many variations of the same thing as a new release. Also, can you shed some light on the inner ring on the dial that has been incorporated into the MGTMR? Just decoration? Exciting ... 

Well, I saw this watch almost one year ago, and with time passing, I think I don't like the Dauphine Hands, on this MR. But to each his own, of course. Still, I think JLC should avoid making these variations of or on the same thing... These small details ... 

I've been hoping for 6 years now that JLC would expand the 15-day power reserve series (I was secretly hoping for a Reverso for the 80th, or something like that). The torgue-meter (ala AP's 2001 "Concept" piece) is neat, but only a little more useful than... 

I do hope to see JLC revealing us an evolution of the MMR... And not only on an aesthetical point of view. It seems that we'll have to wait... Best and thanks for your valuable input, my friend. Nicolas.

obviously the main ref here is the ti MMR,the most succesful minute repeater from JLC. I am not particularly mad about the applied rose gold details...don t know,Its obviously very close to the MMr but still not quite succesful. Anyway,a very nice piece i...

For me, the choice between the trebuchets and the hammers is not mainly a question of volume but of sound purety. Thanks to their system, the trebuchets hit very curtly the gong and don't bounce back on it which is the risk with the hammers. It is the rea... 

In the facts, it is different... The Trebuchet is a great solution for the reasons you perfectly highlighted. But I find the sound a bit agressive... Not always, though. I guess it is related to bthe settings. Best, Nicolas

...it's rather brazing instead of welding. Just google "brazing metal to sapphire" and you should find pretty much info about the possible processes. Don't know what's used by JLC though Best regards Suitbert
