Some Jaeger Lecoultre delights: Pocket Watches movements.

Nov 23, 2019,10:30 AM

Here is a small selection I wanted to share with you, which I had the pleasure to take in picture during my visits at the Manufacture.

1895: Grande Complication.

1927 or 1928: Grande Complication.

1907: The famous Cal 145, THE Ultra Thin movement par excellence.

1895, Automatons, Cal 1920 RMS:

1890: Annual Calendar Retrograde.

Circa 1904, Minute Repeater Silent Regulator:

Cal 160, Chronometer:

Cal 162 Chronometer:

Cal 170, one of my top favorite chronometer movement, from the late Fourties.

And the Cal 171, another chronometer movement:

Of course, this is just a small part of the impressive richness of Jaeger Lecoultre Patrimony.

Best,

Nicolas

It must be an amazing thing to visit the manufacture. Its nothing new that jlc has a superb history, yet its amazing to see "live" pictures of these wonderful pieces. Its a bit sad that the very complex pieces from JLC all are not very classic in a way th...

Yep but i meant 1895-kind-of-classics

Not the usual 50s chic we find very often within the MUT and Master-Control series. AND we should get more complicated and again more small reversos. I really miss their Tribute-Editions...

More complicated there are, nowadays. Have a look at the Gyrotourbillon 5, launched this year, for example. As for the Tributes, this is a huge debate. Some are for, others against.

But yes, there is some place for some deliciously sized Reversos, such as the Tribute Duo from 2016 with its ( almost ) GT case.

Big fan of these very cool and romantic pocket watches.

Great pictorial as usual Nicolas. I debate with myself what will be next with JLC. An Atmos for my office, a vintage pocket watch for me and my son, or a duometre for my ultimate pleasure. It’s a no lose debate, but if I can only have one in 2020 what wil...

Absolutely superb..,
