The Gyro 5 is incredible. Just incredible.
Someone please remind me again about the so-called Holy Trinity? I think we might need a well-justified substitution!
And the Gyro 5 is all done in a relatively--again, relatively--compact case, given the complications.
Regarding the blue enamel dial Master ultra thin range, I'll reiterate comments from before: banish the word "Automatique". It's unnecessary in the regular range, and borderline criminal on an enamel dial.
The worse offender is the tourbillon. Just a nonsensical attempt at creating symmetry by aligning "Automatique" far too prominently with the JLC marquee. Instead, JLC should have inserted the JLC marquee in the date sub-dial (easily done--see the perpetual calendar of the same range, after all). JLC's marquee between 3'oclock and the central axis has always bothered me, and it does so again here.
The Reverso burgundy looks nice. More colors are OK in my book.
No comment on the diamond-encrusted ladies watches.
Hopefully JLC will also have some more releases in the less fiscally aspirational range.
Anything new in the once-promising Geophysic line?
Cheers, and thank you for this initial report.
