Smitten by a Reverso today.
Still feeling rather disappointed over a vintage Reverso trade that did not materialize over the past week, I decided to pop into a local pre-own shop today and stumbled on this little beauty (pardon the bad phone camera).
We hardly have pre-own Reversos showing up locally here so this certainly sparked an interest in me. After all it is because of the Reverso that pulled me into this hobby. So you can imagine my excitement as I quickly asked the salesperson to let me have a look.
I have never seen this model before and its of an older generation, not vintage though. Judging by the crown size, I am guessing it is from before 2008.
Its White Gold, a unique series of 150pcs with an engraved motif on its solid caseback. The arabic numerals are beautifully hand-painted - to give it a real vintage look.
Unfortunately that's all the info the shop had for me. No certs. No idea on what the engraved motif means?
Does anyone here know or have seen this model before? I would certainly like to know more. Dont want to get too caught up and blinded by excitement.
Anyone have any thoughts on this.

JLC made several LE for several markets, so it is impossible to have a global knowledge on all these LEs.... To be sure, you should send the ref number to JLC with a pic or two, to check if this model existed, and what is the story behind. Best! Nicolas

Yes am afraid there is just too many editions being issued out there for us to keep track of everyone. Guess asking JLC to verify is the best source. Have done it through LeClub on their website. Hope they reply. If they do, will share with you all Gary

I tried to find what it could be on google for the fun but no clue. Maybe it was provided by the owner ... Curious to know the answer. Nice Reverso by the way.

even for the dial design, I did not find this model. but the emblem is nice in a "generic" kind of way....something nice and easily acceptable instead of initials or dates. well, am hoping JLC will be able to shed more light on this

Really want to know more about this piece before I make the purchase. Hopefully it is still there in the shop. Any how, it's got me curious to find out the meaning behind the emblem. Hope I hear from them soon.
Swiss Coat of Arms

Hi Foowy, I think there is almost no chance it is a fake watch. No fake would do such a good job on the engravings of the Swiss coat of arms and the 18k marking. Good luck!
thats what i thought as well
fakes would usually be of the more popular mass models....but in the end I didnt go for it and opted for a GMT 16700 instead... thanks georgetownhoya
