A Reply From JLC...
Its been a while but today a reply came through from JLC regarding the Reverso I posted.
I think it is only appropriate that I share the info with you guys, since I've got some of you curious.
The info I got:
The watch is from 1998.... a unique series of 150 pieces for the 150th anniversary of the first Swiss federal constitution in 1848. The engraving is the Swiss national symbol since 19th century
However they cannot be sure if the watch is genuine base on the pictures I sent. Their advice was to send the watch to the Archives Department (via JLC website) to have the watch examined, for which the service is chargeable to the customer.
That is all the info they have for me.
So our fellow purist georgetownhoya is right about the emblem.
Hope the info is useful.
A great many thanks to the team at JLC and Terry from the local AD for their great help.
Will I get the Reverso? I haven't been back to the shop since the last time, so I hope the watch is still there for me to have a final look.
Again too many watches but only have funds for one.....just saw a Rolex GMT 16700 today (would post in the Rolex forum)....so once again, the clash of the titans....Jaeger vs Rolex....who will win. Both desirable in their own rights.
