Hi Guys I recently got this new model Master Calendar (used), when I set the date hand using the 4 o'clock position push button, I might have done it during the 10pm to 3am zone. The hand suddenly became misaligned and does not respond to the push button ... 

If you change the Date between 10 PM and 3 AM, you may damage your watch. It is not specific to JLC at all. Indeed, let's hope it won't be too expensive to repair! Sorry for welcoming you here in such sad circumstances, but I hope that we'll have other ha... 

Not a good start with my Master Calendar, didn't expect it to be that fragile, just a slight poke on the push button! I suppose this is a delicate more complicated movement than other watches I have. I did similar things before to my other watches and the... 

So you don't know of the previous owner treated it... Which can also be an important factor when we speak about reliability or fragility. It is not more delicate than other Calendar movements, IMO. Best, Nicolas

I think most often the watch will malfunction when the quick set mechanism is pushed a few times when the hands are positioned between 10-3. Perhaps this has happened over the lifetime of the watch more than once. I was taught by an AD to set the watch to...
