Jaeger-LeCoultre

Sigh...

No one is claiming that SEALs are issued NSAs or that they're the first watches that Team Six reached for when gearing up for Operation Geronimo. They test them in the field and provide feedback to JLC -- that's it. Whether or not you buy into the hype is irrelevant; it is what it is. As for your take on the bezel, while you're certainly welcome to your opinion, just so you know, Rolex glues their ceramic inserts on as well, so I'm not quite sure how they're any better constructed than JLC's. Indeed, the bezel on my NSA Incursion is easier to grip than that of my DSSD or 16800 Submariner, and is more resistant to inadvertent manipulation as well. Also, its matte finish is far more legible at a glance than the highly reflective finish of Rolex's Cerachrom.

This was a freak accident, and indeed, it has happened to other vaunted marques as well -- Rolex included. It sucks that fawcett has to deal with this, but doubtless once he gets his NSA back from service it'll be as good as new. Otherwise, we get that you're not satisfied with your NSD, but painting the entire model line with your un-met expectations is starting to wearing thin.

Regards,
Adam
