Problems with the visibility of the Duometre

I am not sure how many of you share with me the problem the visibility of the hour and minutes on the Duometre. It is called Presbyopia...but it becomes more acute when combined with small yellow hands or white hands over a clear dial. The problem is just with the hour and minutes, since the blue hands of the chrono make this subdial perfectly visible.

I had high hopes about the white gold limited edition of 2010, because I had been told it had a black dial so I was pretty sure nearly any material would be easy to read over black...

...wrong. I saw it on Saturday. JLC has managed to make the hour and minutes impossible to read again by using very subtle metalic or white gold satin hands. It is actually the harder to read of any of the Duometres. The chrono is ok again, because they have used brushed pink gold hands...the matte rose gold over the black dial is more than ok.

From what I was told, I am neither the first nor the second to complain about the visibility of the Duometre. It seems to be a relatively common complain.

I was thinking...maybe taking this WG Duometre and changing the hour hands for matte white gold, like that of the chrono subdial. What do you think?

Or should I just wait until JLC gets it right and produces the "limited edition for blind fans"? ;-)

(I have been unable to find a photo of the WG Duometre...maybe some charitable soul could help...)
