That us exactly why some brands like Panerai have such a strong success: an exrememly legible dial.
I guess it is sadly very personal, so will be albe to read the Duometre dial without any problem, others not.
When I saw the black dialed version, actually, I found it more legible than the platinum, but once again, I don't have any problem in reading the time on a Duometre, AND, when you have such a watch on the wrist, do you still look at the Time or do you Admire the Time?
I think it will depend on your ocular problems...Sadly.

Would you change the hands...
...of the WG version to a matt silver if that was possible? Or would it be a sacrilege to the original design?

What about a duometre à tact?
Or a duometre à sonnerie? Or even... some eyeglasses? I have started to experience your same problem and love the duoemtre too... so I guess that we could try to convince somebody at Group Richemond to develop a hibrid Panerai-JLC.
