The pricing of the Patek 5146 is actually considerably more than the JLC Grande GMT.
The YG 5146 is nearly double the price of the Rose Gold JLC Grande GMT.
Personally, I would do this. I would give my son in law a steel JLC Grande GMT if he's under 40 years old. Great watch, great price, and the white metal doesn't look too bad on the wrist.

Why not a Master Calendar....
Since it is closer to the 5146 in complication offering? 39 vs 40mm, Annual calendar vs simple/complete, and the price difference NEW would be huge. -Dean
