One of the lucky 149

I am one of the other 149

Walked into a JLC boutique while travelling and the lovely saleslady showed me the new Master Chronograph. The RG one was a little too bling and overpriced for my purpose (office wear), but the SS one was just so understated and yet gorgeous. And then the lady brought out the boutique edition, which was priced the same as the SS. Apparently, some rich soul had ordered a couple of these, but then decided not to buy either of them, so the boutique happened to have two on hand.

Honestly, I was more attracted to the styling of the SS; more consistency in the colour of the hands and the dial, and the lady was also able to offer a bigger discount on the SS one than the boutique edition. But after much consideration, the LE was much too good a deal to pass up, and there was some destiny in me chancing upon the watch as well. Took the plunge and the gold hands are growing on me. And I like looking at the case back and knowing that I am just one out of the hundred and fifty
