Is there any happy owner of the new Master Chronograph Boutique Edition ? I went at La Boutique Place Vendome to see some 2010 novelties and, although I was not at all in a weakness attitude to buy a new watch, I felt in love with this limited version. I love the size, the finishing and gold and blue hands, just like a little duomètre

So, is there any 149 other fellow in here ?

The Boutique has also the 2 other versions but I let Amanico make us discover the versions with his nice pictures and the know-how he has !!

"little Duometre", the dial color, the registers, hands and the markings, pushers etc.
It might not have the uber-alles movement that the big guy possesses, but the 751 movement is a marvelous movement in its own right, though I admit I haven't seen much info on the variant used in this watch, 751A I believe. And looking at it, It really conveys "old-guard JLC" styling to me while still having currency.

Is it 40mm like the others? White gold? Thanks!

I saw them two weeks ago at the Paris Boutique, after Geneva.

I already made some posts about them, and yes, I'm enthusiast for this Chrono.

Nicely made and thought, it has all to be a hit, IMO.

No sapphire case back?

No big deal!

The Cal 751 is a very good movement, but nothing exceptional to see through a sapphire case back.

In this case, I really think JLC did well with this solid case back.

I prefer to see them dedicated to very nice movement,s such as rhe Duometre, for example.

You just got a magnificient Chrono....Big congratulations!

and it very sober and understated. It is a very nice watch with a proven caliber and well proportioned quality case. It is tempting. Besides the date placement, I have no complaints about this watch. However, I wonder if it is too quiet. Perhaps your boutique version with the gold hands provides some punch and character... still; it is a very nice watch and has me thinking. Good value too

Great watch, tried one in RG and am waiting to see the regular SS version. I think the gold numerals do great on the silver dial. IWC does the same trick with its Portuguese watches and it works out great. Ads to the readibility too I guess?

My AD told me that they didn't choose a sapphire back just because of the high gold price (?). Well if they wanted to keep the price of the RG version within a certain budget they had to save on other issues like for instance a see through case back. Not because of the sapphire, but because making the caliber look pretty seems to cost an awfull lot of money. So now the SS is offered for a very fine price too! Don't know if this is the truth, but I can imagine. Still I would had opted for the sapphire back, but hell it still makes a beautifull watch even without it.

I am one of the other 149

Walked into a JLC boutique while travelling and the lovely saleslady showed me the new Master Chronograph. The RG one was a little too bling and overpriced for my purpose (office wear), but the SS one was just so understated and yet gorgeous. And then the lady brought out the boutique edition, which was priced the same as the SS. Apparently, some rich soul had ordered a couple of these, but then decided not to buy either of them, so the boutique happened to have two on hand.

Honestly, I was more attracted to the styling of the SS; more consistency in the colour of the hands and the dial, and the lady was also able to offer a bigger discount on the SS one than the boutique edition. But after much consideration, the LE was much too good a deal to pass up, and there was some destiny in me chancing upon the watch as well. Took the plunge and the gold hands are growing on me. And I like looking at the case back and knowing that I am just one out of the hundred and fifty

You put it perfectly: The SS version, very understated, is very appealing, the Boutique Edition gives this touch of warmth which is irresistible.

Both are interesting, and no doubt that both will easily find their fans.

This is the boutique edition, as you can see from the gold hands. It looks more beautiful every time I lay my eyes on it.

I am totally absorbed by the idea of acquiring this piece - I reached out to the LA boutique and found out that it is even 'relatively' affordable. This isn't the right time financially, so I'll have to stay on the sidelines. Big congrats, this is truly a wonderful chronograph.
