Jaeger-LeCoultre

Newcomer on this forum and a first question

Dear all,

after a couple of months of observation and intense consultation if this forum, I thought that next step would be to introduce myself in a first post.

Like you all, I do really have a passion for Jaeger LeCoultre watches, passion which started when I inherited my grand father's Atmos clock. I have been collecting JLC watches for some years now, with a particular interest for memovox models and especially models from the 70's.

Here are some (bad) pics of my JLC watches, definitely modest compared to the beauties that some of you display on this forum :

Two are missing : a memovox E876, and an old memovox from 53.

I actually have a question regarding master control memovox (and not master control reveil):

I recently discovered another variation of the model with grey dial. I thought that the model presented above was the only one for master control memovox : curved inscription "Jaeger-LeCoultre" on the outter dial, and inscription "memovox" on the inner dial, on the opposite side of the alarm arrow.

I found on the net this model : curved inscriptions "Jaeger-Lecoultre memovox" and "reveil" both on the inner dial.

I know that master control reveil also has this inscription "reveil' on the inner dial, but I was wondering why there were two variations of master control memovox. Is that related to the material of the case ? to the production date ?

I'd be happy to find the answer of a question which is definitely not of high priority.

Thanks again for this highly informative forum
Best wishes
