Hs111 celebrates a new year by showcasing his curated collection of vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox watches. His post is a heartfelt reflection on the joy of collecting, the stories behind each timepiece, and the enduring friendships forged within the WatchProSite community.

.. to re-group some tic-tacs of my (humble) "collection" . This helped to re-focus &
to condense some pieces into some little theme-series..

- Among which, there are most of my collected Vintage Memovoxes ;

Also I had coincidently realized, that quietly I have passed the 6k mark;
not a big thing, but showing how quickly the time & times are flowing & flying..

Thus, I just thought to share 2-3 pics, featuring Memos,
which have been my beginning & progress with & into JLC.

Several of them are connected to stories, stories of luck and desire;
happiness about finds, but also stories of total or near misses
& some few departures.

But mostly these are stories of laughter, some craziness, and
most importantly about friendship. This friendship with several here,
with whom I had & have contact, in this cyber domain but also in the real;
a friendship I cherish and am happy about.

Specifically, I would like to thank a very special Trio of good friends ,
moderators all ( you know, who you are..) for their support and
encouragement..
Additionally thx to many here, I had the pleasure to get in touch,
and even meet some in person, which for me is the real "icing
on the cake ".

But now, without further ado, just few short pics, one a little group
assembly of Memovoxes, the other about one in particular, which
always makes me smile..

About the Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox Ref. 3072

The Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox reference 3072 is part of the "Funky Memovox" series from the 1970s, characterized by its distinctive case shapes and dial aesthetics that reflect the design trends of the era. This reference contributes to a lineage of alarm watches from the brand, known for their practical complication and varied stylistic interpretations over decades. It represents a period of experimentation in watch design, moving away from more traditional forms.

The reference 3072 typically features a cushion-shaped or tonneau-shaped case, often crafted from stainless steel. These cases house an automatic winding movement, likely from the 916 or 918 caliber family, which powers the timekeeping and the mechanical alarm function. The crystal is generally acrylic, consistent with watches of this period, providing a clear view of the dial.

For collectors, the Memovox 3072 appeals to those interested in vintage Jaeger LeCoultre pieces, particularly the more unconventional designs of the 1970s. It stands as an example of the brand's willingness to adapt its established alarm complication to contemporary fashion, offering a different aesthetic compared to earlier or later Memovox iterations. Its unique appearance makes it a notable piece within the broader Memovox family.
