Mono Galaxy but Duo-metre?
I am a huge fan of the Duometre line from JLC, and it makes perfect sense that this watch was developed with accuracy in mind. The chronograph complication demands varying power loads and the Duometre resolved this age-old dilemma. The accuracy of this watch whether the chronograph is running or not is stellar, but when it comes to the moon and the stars, why would you require this duo movement?
I agree that the Duometre a Quantieme Lunaire is a beautiful watch with a magnificent movement, I just don't think it is necessary for a lunar application.

I agree that the Chronograph requires more energy than the Moonphase and the date.

especially this white gold version as you said. I've seen it a few times but never got to hold it. One thought I have is whether the foudroyante is a little out of place spinning away on what is a "tranquil" classic face.

I was very fortunate to be in the London boutique and tried it on along with the chrono. To be honest, I have had a weird relationship with the dumoetre. In the past, whenever I have tried on one of the duometre chronos I have left without forming a bond....
