JLC Squadra Hometime 18k 1of1?

 

Just thought I would share this short tale with you all.

I received a JLC Reverso Squadra Hometime in 18k gold for my 30th birthday last weekend. I started to research the watch and the model after I noticed that the second hand on the sub-dial was gold, which I thought odd as this model is shown with a black hand on the JLC site and in their brochure. After a few searches with no success, I went back to the AD to register the watch and get a few marks buffed out and mentioned the second hand to the AD. This prompted a call from the AD to JLC who said they would investigate as it was most unlikely for them to make a 'mistake' like that.

A short while later, they got back to the AD having checked the serial number and watch history, maker etc and said that this was indeed an error. They offered to change the hand, but I declined.

The AD said that JLC are sending a document to certify that it's a mistake. Has anybody else got a gold second hand on their reverso of this model?

I owned a Duometre in platinum which came withe the wrong dial... I was very happy with, too. Lucky guy! Best, Nicolas.

It's almost hard to believe that even at this level, "mistakes", if you can call that one, can be made. Great "mistake" though...lends to a new level of exclusivity where this is concerned. Congratulations is in order, I suppose Richard

Congrats on your birthday and a unique Reverso! Probably mistakenly put on yours from this one… The black version of the Squadra HT in PG has the sub second hand in PG. Best Blomman...

Funny you said that as the AD reported back that JLC thought the dial from the black face was more than likely accidentally used instead. Ridiculous to think that it got past all those rigorous checks!?
