I love the Atmos...
...and i am not alone, judging from the many enthusiastic posts!
Unfortuntely i still cant see the pics and i had to check the JL website to get an idea.
I am crazy for the 561 and very fond of the Dunhill version. Very cool indeed. Unfortunately they are both expensive. The new 566 is phantastic, juduging from the pictures, but completely out of my range....for the time being.
Who knows what the future brings, a collector needs patience...

My favourite is also the 1930 reedition....
.... but after knowing the price it's not for me. I was expecting it to be cheaper than the Marc Newson one considering it's not Baccarat! But JLC proved me wrong. Doh! Thanks for sharing the lovely photos!
Each of those Atmos has its own charm
And it is really difficult to say which one is the hottest, to my eyes... The problem is becoming wider and wider... Best, Nicolas

how is the movement of the clock acessed..?? I can see the little lever that has to be moved to engage the movement but I can't see the door....on my glass version the front comes off. Just curious.. Yours, Andy.

Which Atmos is the one you fancied less around the millenary corner?
Was it the very traditional Atmos clock with the gold frame? Or was it the very modern Atmos clock with the three cones on that served as a base? Or neither?

You mean to say that...
...the Atmos these days do not run on air? I remember my dad had one and it was a real pain then with it operating properly. Apparently, the severe humidity in SG wreaked havoc with it.

especially the pictures of the original Reutter. A bit of mixed feelings about the straight bridge on the re-edition but just love that JLC is sticking to the original fonts; particularly the zero in the 10. Such a fantastic throwback to the Art Deco era....

The Re-edition gets my vote.
I'm sure there is a place for the 561 and 566 but the design of the re-edition is still cool, even after seventy years. There is something to be said about the complications in the newer design but for classic sophisticated lines, I prefer the 1930. Clean...
