Don't get me wrong, JLC are great watches, just think this is a pretty fancy
case for basically a ho-hum, plain Jane watch
Discreet luxury
As a former owner of both the steel and the yellow gold versions of this model, I think this is brilliant and surprised that I never knew this version existed. I'd like to think of this as a perfect example of discreet luxury, very much in keeping with JL...
A PT case may be some overkill for this pretty modest watch.
From the movement side this is not a high horology offer from JLC and a steel case serves its purpose best.

This platinum with rose gold indexes also existed in full calendar and power reserve versions Can you imagine a manual memovox with this treatment? How cool would that be!
