I don t quite get it....

why the Duometre hasn t got the recognition it deserves.

The watch gets kudos and appreciation from owners and admirers all over the world but still fails to be valued for that.Maybe there are too many?If you are a watch fan you can t be indifferent to the Duo and esthetically it pleases many many people,not to talk about the mighty movement.I wonder once more if it was a Patek watch how much it would have fetched.

Bottom line, how many buy watches because of their intrinsic horological value and how many for the brand?We can speculate for ever but at the end some brands(one or 2 really)are pure investment,or at least you wont lose your money.

Unfortunately JLC is far from that,I don t say that because I have some JLC but because i think JLC has so many merits in terms of quality and innovation as a brand that makes it my fav big brand.........at the end of the day I have so much pleasure from my JLC watches and that s all that count.I just wonder why not many people see it like that.

But also I must say that the condition of the watches on auction need to be examined,if for example this Duometre had scratches or worse,I much rather spend just a few K more and get a new one .It won t be much more.
