Here's an idea -
You might be able to find a dial that's new old stock.
Stranger things have happened. I have a few nos
dials - jaeger, vacheron, patek that came from watchmakers
I knew. Also, sometimes at shows I'd find a watch that had
a dial that was interchangeable. I'd switch and sell the one
i didn't want at somewhat of a loss. This is only if you decide
that you'd refinish it. I guess to go on the hunt and ask Jaeger
to hold off for a bit on the refinishing. I imagine the refinishing
would be way better than how it was done way back when.
They might have original hands, crown and crystal. You never
know unless you ask.
