The mark XII has a IWC cal. 884 which is basically a JLC cal. 889/2. The JLC cal. 889/2 is a very nice movement used in a number of high-end watches (AP a.o.).
In my 15 year experience with this watch I have not had a singel issue, and it runs very well
8 years after last service.
Later iterations are larger than 36mm and have more pedestrian movements,
so in my opinion the mark 12 is a superb homage and a very good buy at 3000-3500 euro on leather.
(you would want to get an earlier version with tritium. Also the steel bracelet is supposed to be on of the best)
