Team,
I'm a strap person and I care, as much I do with my few watches, about the straps that I use on my watches.
I did many attempts to get a strap that was comfortable and has the style that, IMHO, matches my MCM.
I hear, here and there, that Camille Fournet was a great producer of straps and also, not verified, was also the supplier of JLC.
I always had the impression that the CF straps were expensive (Euros are expensive on my local currency) and I never tried to confirm.
One week back, I dusted my French and took the chance to order a strap from Camille Fournet.
I choose, after all it was my first order, the less expensive one, a "Bracelet prêt-à-porter" made with "Veau Barenia".
I select black, of course, and at the end of the order I mentioned that the watch as a JLC MCM.
The strap total cost, including the shipping (FedEx), was not expensive.
What happened next was a surprise. Next day I got an email, from CF, stating that "a straight fitting at the case can’t fit on your JLC Master Compressor Memovox, only a curved fitting at the case strap is adapted to your watch."
And the best part:
"We can made your strap for your watch (with curved fitting at the case) for the same price."
This is a great service.
Of course, I agreed and after a few days, another pleasant surprise: The strap arrived and is just wonderful.
