The difference here is you're not using your Reverso as a travel watch, but as a "Phone" watch, and there's a big difference between the two modes in terms of functional priorities. For your use a WorldTimer would perhaps be a better option.
For actual travel you really want the main dial to be Local Time, not Home Time. When you're at home Local Time = Home Time, but when you're traveling you need to be looking at Local Time as your priority. You don't need the Day/Night/24 hour indicator on the Local Time dial as you should be able to tell easily enough, unless you've been drinking heavily...

Did you consider the Reverso Grande GMT (ref. 302.84.20) and the Geophysic UT (ref. Q8108420)? If not, may be you could find all that you are looking for with these ones? Just another possibility IMHO. Best wishes Alkiro
