Congrats! The QL...
is, arguably, one of the MOST beautiful watches on the market, aesthetically, and intellectually, it is amazing. Since 1 spring drives the escapement, it is always in motion and stopping and starting and resetting the watch has little-to-no bearing to accuracy.

It is not a secret I am a huge fan of this watch family. The Q.L is probably the most " intellectual " Duometre. It takes some time to understand its true purpose: Accuracy. What a watch! A pleasure to welcome you on our JLC forum. All the best, Nicolas

Well done. Fantastic choice for your first JLC. Don't think it will be your last. The quality of the dial and the finishing and the allure of the movement will give you endless joy. The moon phase is one of the less useful complications but who cares.
My preference for the moon is the YG model with the maroon sky - nothing like it in the market. The new moon with the engraved moon phase on the newer edition is also excellent. I do favor the antique white dial of the YG model as well although I have to ...
