actually this is not at all an official name
Mark V is just a name I gave to this dial (which I also call 'fat index'), as it is the 5th (and last) version of the standard dials which were fitted on the 855 over time (not including the 'specials', only referring to the regular production).
So, nothing official, just a way to remember them in order of production...

But the hunt is part of the pleasure. The one on the pic belongs to the Heritage Gallery Collection. So I will have to wait before getting mine, but before the end of this year, I may add 1 or 2 important Vintage JLC... Let's see if Luck is on my side... ...

Ebony index is the term for mk IV and mk V index I believe

All I can say is that it is at least the most difficult memovox to photograph.... I just can't make anything good with it. Will probably need a "polaris" filter added to the camera. here we are for the teaser......
