I am German, o Austrian, forget it and dont loose time to translate. Always the same blabla, with some exceptions she can say the same for VC.

They have all the same DNA, you can change them from JlC to Montblanc and three months later to R.D. The only interesting question, "you lived 10 years in Asia, what you bring from there?" Answer, she like to bring more asian tourist to the "Valley of tea...

I'm a little bit excited ;) [nt]

Nico my friend, there is nothing concret.

 By: Walter2 : November 12th, 2018-01:00
She say, they will do all watches, from the simple two hand models to compllications. They call this hybris mechanica, what they doing the last 185 years. She like to protect this and expand it. Now the complications: The next step is coming 2019, with th...

Thank you, Walter. I take it, from your take...

 By: remarque : November 12th, 2018-07:29
she said nothing of substance, and expressed no distinct vision for the brand. If so, truly disappointing, especially if the interviewer did not ask specific directed questions and press her for substantive answers. I have said many times in my threads th...

Some exceptions to what you said about new movements not released...

 By: amanico : November 12th, 2018-07:46
1/ Geophysic True Seconds Cal 770 and the modular Cal 772 ( universal time ). That is a new movement introduced in the catalog in what? 2014? 2/ Reverso Tribute to Gyrotourbillon. Cal 179, introduced in 2017. 3/ Hybris Mechanica 11. Cal 362, introduced in...

Your scope of knowledge is always amazing, mon ami. However, looking at your list, the only "journeyman" movement is the true second one.

 By: remarque : November 12th, 2018-08:26
The others are certainly high horology and of course impressive, but where are the more "basic" new movements with longer power reserves (reverso and master lines), manual central seconds (a la original geophysic or mark 11), etc? The newest polaris line ...

I hear you, there is a lot to do, and we hope that they will do a lot. ;) I feel there is something which misses in the collection, an affordable manual winding movement with central seconds.

 By: amanico : November 12th, 2018-08:36
And you see, you can try to do and do some new things, it is not necessarily a popular approach. Even if I think that the Cal 770 / 772 are appreciated a bit more than you think. A new Cal 849, a bit bigger, would be fantastic, too. So many things, so man...

They need to think of long power reserves for their existing movements and retrofit them

 By: reintitan : November 13th, 2018-22:46
40 - 42 hour power reserves are no longer sufficient to compete these days. The standard is quickly becoming 3-days on a single full wind. Even Tudor has 70-hour autonomy on their in-house movements.

Duly noted. [nt]

Spot on sir....

Manually wound...sub-seconds s’il vous plaît ! Best, Mahesh.,

Sub is my liking then

 By: mahesh : November 15th, 2018-19:40
I’m ok with central second too.... sub second fills up the empty space better on a watch Aesthetically speaking especially over 37mm IMHO Best, Mahesh.,

Ok, I hear you. [nt]

Continuous the same things!

 By: Charilaos : November 12th, 2018-00:04
A bit disappointed but more than expected. Instead lead this Brand with more movements than anyone else to a focused project at historical re-editions and improve the after sales services, trying to satisfy the "fashion culture" customers from the promisa...

2005 were good times...

 By: BentN : November 13th, 2018-12:58
Hopefully she can "live up to" something similar in our 2018-19-20's...? I appriciate no-nonsense bright dials with a light complication, like a Moon phase and/or power reserve. (+ a date must always be there...or else I am lost to the digital world ) Any...

Complications? Not for me. They'll probably be priced astronomically high as well.

 By: reintitan : November 13th, 2018-22:43
Still waiting for a modern, but respectful modern interpretation of these. The opposite of complications. ...

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think they'll try both

 By: reintitan : November 14th, 2018-00:51
They'll pool their resources on some type of complication (say an Equation of Time + Perpetual Calendar in white and yellow gold and platinum) priced in the mid-$200,000s made for rich oil sheiks and hedge fund managers, and oh yeah, let's not forget abou...

We do hope so! [nt]

Well Stéphane Belmont said so in an interview but what does that mean at the end of the day?

 By: cory : November 15th, 2018-00:35
Is a Duometre ratrapantte considered something affordable?
