But 12K is what I paid for my doppel portos less than 12 months ago... seems steep for a fancy case with a simple caliber... ...

I guess I never paid attention to the very disappointing 15.3 mm thickness??? And equally disappointing 46 hr PR... Sigh... well, it will likely sell out fast... hmmm, lost interest personally, after seeing dimensions and movement specs... IWC... make a 4...
IWC is owned by a very large corporation...
And to them the bottom line is more important than the true collectors.
