IWC

Thank you for sharing!

Looking at the Aquatimer design, the spring bars are very exposed. The straps (which also appear clipped to the case) have limited rotational movement, and likely semi-rigid? The spring bars do not look like it would help in the event of a strong force that may have momentarily flexed the clips to dismount the strap from the lug.

The EasX-Change design has the spring bars deep seated, and require an L-type motion to dismount. The straps are also free rotating and likely any force applied on the strap, will simply cause the strap to rotate around the spring bars rather than dismount.

The buckle end is a little bit different than on the JLC, as i've observed here in this WPS post --> Here are some pictures from the video.
It appears that on the JLC, a "Push Here" bar that flaps up and down is what prevents the strap bar from disengaging. I wonder with this design, is it possible for the flap to eventually loosen by itself and therefore unguard the strap bar? On the IWC, there is a hook that catches the center of the strap bar. And the hook is integrated to the deployant hinge, as seen on India Whiskey Charlie's photo above, therefore the whole buckle has to move (and in a specific motion) to disengage the strap.

Is the EasX-Change design free of issues? I don't know, and only time will tell. I'm crossing my fingers. smile
