They still sell them and people are buying them. But on my wrist there were issues with both the base movements and the perpetual calendar module.

I've had great luck with my 5002 BP movement. My Miramar big BP stopped but was due for service anyway, which was handled quickly by the Texas service center. I'm sad to hear the perpetual module is not good. I was hoping to add one to my life eventually....

Though it's been so long since I've seen the earlier 42mm model in the metal that I can't remember if the subdials felt cramped. Still, a much more wearable size...
