as is life, this is why we lock our doors and this is why we buy security systems.. theft is everywhere but we try and protect ourselves.. FEDEX corporate protects themselves with fine print that says nothing over 500 should be sent, and although we do not read, we still send the packages.. i took a loss a few years back but i used it as a stepping stone to figure out the proper avenues to ship something of value.. im sorry for your loss.. but their is nothing that can be done now but to grin and bear it and move on from the experience... i know this isnt the answer you want at this time and your looking for more of the "damn fedex" but.. we can only blame ourselves for overlooking the fine print..
