Thanks for your reply.

It is not necessary to be the case of a single barrel has accuracy issue.  For most watches when the power is dwindled till the end like balance of a day or two, the daily rate will fluctuate as it loses torque and affects the amplitude.  Typically from my observation I see that too, and for pieces with power reserve indicator, I will try to keep the balance power above 50% of the total specified.   That's also the reason, why some more complicated (and more costly) pieces, they build in either fussee and chain or constant force escapement to have regular power transmission even till the tail end of power reserve.

So what you mentioned especially 'the last days' is correct.
