My only two IWC’s..
Was changing the strap on my ref 5000 to an old Lange strap I had tucked away in the safe. When I stopped and really had to appreciate these two watches. If I’m being honest I’m not really a vintage fan, I have a few but prefer the newer stuff usually. Except in this case. IWC just did these watches so perfectly, so much charm. I love the large movements that fill the case backs not just slapping something back there and add spacers and call it a day. I have often thought about adding an IWC minute repeater but I always get hung up on when would I ever actually use it? Maybe someday I’ll come around but in the meantime I’ll continue enjoying these. Jorge

And old Lange straps!! I have a few on non-Lange watches because they wear so nicely. I got rid of my IWC Portuguese references when I decided that 42mm was too large for me but still miss them.

Ok which model is that? With the perfect subseconds and the glorious IWC script and the rose gold disk furniture and the beautiful movement marked 1868-1993…Is it steel? I’m in love. Especially with that strap. Best E.
Ok, I was being lazy…
Looked it up - Ref 5441 - in steel, one of 1000. The platinum (250 made) had hands and dial in silver colour. I prefer the steel. If you grow tired of it, let me know Best E.

Referring to the MR topic. I can really recommend the IWC MR. It can be worn perfectly also on a daily basis. It’s for sure a robust and not delicate watch. At least starting from the second generation. But ok, I am a little bit biased. Best Thomas ...
