It harkens back to an era when IWC and the watchmaking industry in general less supercharged. Usually when a company loses money to make a product, it’s something worth having. Congratulations on acquiring this rare bird. Someday, I’d love to get one myself.

Congratulations on Finding This One!
This is one I love for a ton of reasons. I found mine some time around 2004 and it's seen plenty of wrist time. Currently my 3705 is with IWC for routine service. When it comes back I'l post a pic.
