thanks for the info - helps greatly. personally I'm opposed to 'proprietary'. At this level, sending back the watch to its maker for servicing etc is a given. But it's also reassuring if any competent watchmaker can work on the watch - owners should have a choice. I don't think the other greats like Voutilainen or Dufour use proprietary screws.
I will have an opportunity to meet with, and perhaps view Gauthier's upcoming creations and I'm greatly looking forward to it! Will post more, if he allows me to.
