Yes, I'd really like to see the MIH in the metal. Unfortunately my budget has recently taken a bit of a hit, but I hope to rectify that soon and I'd really like to get something from an "Independent". But I'm also on the list for the new Seiko "First Divers" reissue, so we'll see what happens.
Oh and as for the name once again, seeing as how manatees are mammals, can they get rabies or are they somehow immune? I still don't know.
What do you do if you have 1 of Paul Gerber's creations and you LOVE it?
You end up getting more of them of course! 3 pieces made by one of my favourite independents and a truly Great man! HAGWE people ...

Yes, PG is a genius and (reasonably) affordable for an independent. Lovely man to deal with (re customising my Synchron), as is his wife (Ruth) who handles the communication

It IS fun. I had Mr Gerber customise it for me at the last service. A red hour hand, and a custom engraving on one of the triple rotors! Mr Gerber was VERY accommodating and the customisation process was a complete delight. Definitely made the watch THAT ...

Bought the Synchron watch on the secondary market.
Sent It to Mr Gerber in Zurich for full service and customisation. They could not have been nicer!
Simple but truly complex watches by an understated master and a true gentleman. His watches do reflect who he is.
I have thought about the moon phase but thought more of the large second variety. Great trio.
