I still don’t understand why the market fails to recognize Andersen’s importance today. He has been such a key figure for independent watchmakers, and beyond that, he created truly exceptional timepieces. His early creations, (whether his now-signature world timers or his other watches) are, in my view, highly significant in the history of independent watchmaking.
And yet, even these remain remarkably undervalued today.
But sure… I guess an ugly, basic Cartier is considered more important?
