I've been trying to actively learn more about my camera, and photo software in order to improve my pictures. Here's my latest effort starring my Habring2 Jumping Seconds. Hopefully, with more practice my photos will get consistently better!
I've been living with the Habring2 for several weeks now, and can say that it keeps great time and wears comfortably on the wrist, despite its heft, during extended periods of time (all day at the office and beyond!). I most often get comments from non-WIS on either the Habring2 or Longines Legend diver. The Longines I can understand, as it has a distinctive retro look, that along with the black lacquer dial, is eye-catching; but the allure of the Habring2 is very subtle, so I'm surprised by how often people notice it. I suspect the substantial (for its diameter) case and Riva strap may be responsible for the attention.
After wearing the watch frequently since it arrived, I am happy to report that the novelty of the jumping seconds remains fascinating to me. I thought I might tire of the relatively simple display, but I find I am still quite drawn to the moments of stillness on the dial between "jumps."
Hope you like the photo(s)! Thanks to Deniz and his recent Franck Muller collage for the inspiration.
Cheers,
Daos

I wasn't able to capture it in these photos, but the minute hand is also curved on this watch. It's a very elegant presentation. Thanks for all your nice words, and I would love to see how a Habring2 watch made to your specifications would look. Have a ni...

Daos, from the very little i know about photography, you could have a problem wanting both good landscape pics and watch movements. with a movement you want a good macro setting. the macros i take are from a Sony cybershot with 1cm macro setting as recomm...

I'm enjoying my watch very much, and really feel inspired to add more independent makers' pieces to my collection one day. I'll be curious to see if Richard modifies the manual jump seconds at some point to provide a better look at the workings of the mov...
