The phases of the moon complication (yes, it is) is build directly into the movement.... which keeps the thickness more decent specially with the 9.8mm 3D moons ( thickness 0.5), the winding system works actually better with heavier ( diameter bigger than actual movement.. thats why the casing ring becomes to be part of the movement) winding mass with 18K gold weights and moon.
And then ofcourse the modifications of the heights of the hour wheel , minute pinion due the different dial thickness, can be made with or without center seconds...
Why Soprod? It was at 2008 the technically best movement to start with the Moon complication .. it has a technical differences on dial side that allowed to build the function thinner... and the big magic is that you can easily adjust the moon from the crown! No extra holes or pushers...! What else..? Maybe something more can be done but then does it make sense,? the price would be different..

He really keep you involved in the process. After all is said and done you will want to do it again, trust me. Funny thing is I also followed him for a few years before I finally ordered a very cool Sarpaneva. Look forward to seeing your special Sarpaneva...

what I know (more or less..."I\'ve heard the bell but I don\'t know where the clapper is"...as we say in Holland) is is that a part of his modified movement is integrated with the watch case (!). And you can set the watch and moon cycle simply with the cr...

What a great surprise to see you here! I assume you keep the rest of the movement pretty much the same? No change to the escapement? What about finishing generally? It would be very interesting to hear more about the rose-dialled model we saw earlier... B...

No modifiactions on a escapement, perlage finition. actually the dial is more brownish than rose ( I have the rose one too) made from the order only, 2 different sizes.... more info by email, thanks.
