Something unusual by SpeakeMarin...
Hi all,
Recently had a chance to view this piece from a friend
Like to share a few photos with you guys. Truely a work of art, Maki-e art to be precise, by a Japanese Maki-e master....and this one is a symbol of longevity, TsuruKame (Crane and Turtle) unique to 1 piece only.
Note the 3 mother of pearl
Under different lighting....note the texture and detail on the body of the turtle and crane. Simply impressive.
We'd often seen skeleton dials, enamel dials, guilloche dials but very seldom do we see a Maki-e dial. I find this to be very unique and will be a great addition to any collectors' watch collection. It just instantly turn the watch into an artpiece imho. Great idea by Speake Marin
Thanks for looking.
Regards
Jacky
