RGM custom “India Watch”
It was a pleasure working with Roland Murphy on this project. I’m beyond thrilled with the outcome. The process was collaborative and while very close to my original vision for the project, the outcome was improved with gentle nudges by Roland given his experience on both the execution and visual balance.
The dial is complex, showing India and the island of Sri Lanka at the bottom. The outlines for the Indian states are are on the map. The Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea are in blue guilloche.
The ruby on the dial marks my home town in India half-way across the world. I’ll try to take better pictures, but I hope these shots bring out Roland’s artistry.
