Hi All, I've been eyeing Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Blue for some time now, but haven't pulled the trigger just yet because I had other watches that I wanted to purchase first. I would like your honest opinion on the piece. I love the design, however ...  

Now the question is the opaline or the blue? ...  

but I would personally choose opaline.

deep and warm. But it has a more pronounced presence and doesn't go with every outfit. So I'm afraid I'd end up finding it a bit too “cumbersome” (can’t find a better word). Whereas silver is supremely elegant and discreet.

Considering that I have Chopard LUC 1860, which has one or the best micro rotor calibers in the industry, that’s why I’m looking into a manual wind LF instead.

I’ve read some concerns over reliability. Similar to Zeus, I’ve been seriously considering their Classic Origin as well, but with the opaline dial: In fact, I was looking at it again this past Friday! ...  

But I was more attracted to the traditional aesthetic of the micro rotor and I wanted a rose gold case, so I chose exactly this. But the opaline is wonderful (the blue too, btw, but I prefer opaline). Best, Emmanuel

Can you please expand on the reliability issues you’ve heard about?

my micro rotor and hopefully I won’t have any. The Classic Origin is a wonderful model: beautiful, light, wearable. The only thing I’m less attracted to is the modern aesthetic of the caliber. But the winding experience is first class and if you like this... 

I have owned the platinum micro rotor for 5 years and sold it after 5 years warranty ended as I do not want to face more issues with it. The hour marker and hour hand do not sync. After sending the watch for service and got back, find the watch to have so...

Been wearing my Galet traveler now on a daily basis for three years and never encountered any problems. Just the happiness of something really nice strapped to my wrist 😀… And yes, the Classic Origin is a compelling option too. I’d go for the blue! Cheers...  

Great watch , I do like the titanium option. I do not wear it as a dress watch , but rather more casually. The movement is quite nicely finished in the real, even without stripes. I figure I have other options for that sort of thing, and it is nice to hav...
