Thanks again to everyone for all of the kind comments included in this thread.

I've been reflecting on my tendency to select high-contrast photos of watches to post, and went back through my recent shoots with the Simplicity to find a photo that represents what the movement looks like in "normal" light (given how much the appearance of the movement changes in different positions and lights, this is a relative concept, but what I mean here is what the watch most often looks like to me the moment I flip it over):


Quite reflective, with subtle stiping visible.
