I had a chance to meet Peter over a couple beers in the US a few years back. That's what really drew me to the independents! He was very nice and helpful in explaining some of his opinions on watchmaking.
Agreed, Peter remains, accessible, but is so good in watchmaking. All that but not only...
...he loves having fun and good time believe me And that's what it's all about with the Independants : you meet the people, they discuss about their passion and the Master is not a CEO in his ivory tower but a gentleman.

A PSM I wasn\'t aware of... The less good, to my eyes: -Why does there have to be a date wheel? The aperture in the dial doesn\'t feel refined to me. But then I generally dislike date cut-outs. I must say, though, that I do rather like the typography on t...
PSM really knows how to build movements that are different
From the topping tool rotors to this, the curves, lines and architecture separates them from what is starting to look like very common movement designs.
One of (if not) my favourite PSM. I love the heart hand and the sub second dial with the distinctive feature of PSM. I only have one restriction about the crown's shape but nothing really important

What's the name of this model?
I've seen it a few times and always loved it! huge fan of PSM and I hope to be able to meet the man in person one day.
This is the Speake-Marin Thalassa
Peter made a limited edition of 30 pieces all in white gold in 2010 I believe. He used an in house manual movement with an 80 hour power reserve.
