Take a look at this:

Also, there's a great series of posts from 2004 by Bernard C. that goes into considerable detail, and one memorable post (that I can't put my finger on right now) that includes an e-mail from Volker showing his test equipment (self-made) and a series of timing curves that explain refinements that he's making to the movement! A quick search of the forum and a look at Volker's website will shed light, I think.
I'm also sort of a gearhead, so I'm very impressed by the single crown that sets hours, minutes, and seconds independently, the use of the power reserve as an indicator of crown position, the fact that the seconds hand is linked to the minutes (so that when the seconds hand points at 12 o'clock, the minute hand is precisely on the minute index), etc.
And the bits already mentioned about how he manufactures just about everything himself and is fanatical about (his definition of) quality, which happily for me matches mine quite well.
The more I write about it, the more I want one! The bad news is that it seems I'm not alone...
Best,
