have watches that perform better than the tolerances they quote. The watch would normally be tested in at least five positions and in some instances more. Arguably some watches are likely to be more robust than others. I would expect a Rolex for example to withstand the shakes and the bumps a lot better than a Lange or Patek. Saying that, watches are normally packed very well prior to shipping and should arrive in as good a condition as when they left the factory. Also the tolerances are quoted after they are manufactured. Some watches may lie at the AD for months or longer resulting in oils drying up and it is more than likely that they may not meet the tolerances quoted. I always monitor my watches especially during the warranty period so that should the watch deviate by more than the quoted tolerances over a period of time, I would send it back to the AD.

are based on the watches leaving the factory after being tried and tested. I would expect the watches to offer the same accuracy after each service at the manufacturer. Parts would only need to be replaced if deemed necessary to maintain the originality, ...
