Independents

Interesting thoughts, Amerix!

Thanks for posting them.  I agree that there is a fairly large amount of negative space within the body of the movement in the Prestige, but for me, I find the balance of emptyness and "filled" spaces to be a pleasurable yin-yang of sorts visually.  I know Romain could have included a complication or another barrel (as you mentioned) in this first movement, but my feeling is that he really wanted to create something straightforward and very much in service to his engineering background.  I wish I could've taped my conversation with Romain because he did talk a bit about his design choices vis-a-vis the winding train and crown placement that made me feel as though he put a lot of thought into harnessing mechanical forces and best practices for energy transference within the small machines that are his watches.

As for the teeth, I confess I didn't inspect them closely, but I am very impressed by the finishing and level of care taken in completing this timepiece.

Thanks for your ideas.  I enjoyed reading your comments a lot.

Cheers,

Daos
