I would have preferred the 38 mm because of wrist size. But the 42 mm sits better and feels more stable.

Have you seen the photos Peter posted of the making of a new manually wound movement with a large balance wheel? What's he up to? I really liked the new Tsuba, but the movement's finish is basic Parmigiani; I would have preferred the Laine finish.
