I rarely take either taxis or Ubers now…
Living quite centrally, and having learned the bus system, I am quite happy walking, taking the bus (green minibuses FTW!) and MTR, as appropriate.
Uber has become near-useless: expensive and time-consuming to get a ride. Gonna take an Uber? Better book it at least ten minutes in advance.
Of course the ins and outs to taxis are known to every HKer…I will say though that four of the last five cabs I’ve taken accepted Octopus, which amazed me.

It looks precise, flows seamlessly. My only question is whether to mount the orange strap or white. I’m think this one is by far the best for my everyday.

It’s funny, I bought the orange for my CB about 8 years ago.
And I usually mount it on that or a turquoise strap. So I’m not afraid of the orange for sure. I may hold off for bright colours until the summer. We’ll see.
